The results of the sixteenth update of the indicative and non-exhaustive list of Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRAs) were made available at the end of December 2024 at https://www.cahraslist.net/. The list is reviewed and updated on a quarterly basis.
The current list includes 28 countries and 227 interior regions.
Compared to previous updates in some countries there have been changes in the status of some regions that have changed from conflict-affected to high-risk areas and vice versa.
Below is a general overview of the most significant changes observed in this update.
The identification of a new country:
- Chad
The identification of new conflict-affected regions:
- Chad: Lac
- Lebanon: Baalbak-Hermel, Bekaa and South
- Russia: Kurskaja oblast'
- Sudan: River Nile
- Ukraine: Kiev and Poltava
The removal of a conflict-affected region:
- Ukraine: Sevastopol'
