Decision EU(2025)2071
European Commission – adoption of Implementing Decision EU(2025)2071 - recognition of the supply chain due diligence scheme 'Responsible Minerals Assurance Process' (RMAP) under the EU Conflict Minerals Regulation (2017/821)
European Commission has adopted the Implementing Decision EU(2025)2071 recognising the supply chain due diligence scheme “Responsible Minerals Assurance Process” (RMAP), owned by the “Responsible Minerals Initiative” (RMI), as fully aligned with the requirements of the EU Conflict Minerals Regulation. EU importers of 3TG minerals can now rely on this scheme to demonstrate that they meet their obligations under the Regulation.
Recognition of this scheme is an important step towards reducing the administrative burden on EU importers, while promoting transparency and efficiency in these value chains. Recognition is also an important step towards establishing a 'list of global responsible smelters and refiners', which would provide for further simplification for Union importers.
More information on the recognition of schemes and the implications of the recognition of equivalence of RMAP is available in the Frequently Asked Questions.
