The Authority carries out the verification on the Due Diligence application and is authorized to impose administrative sanctions in the event of non-compliance with the requirements (Article 7 of Legislative Decree no. 13/2021):
- the importer who, within the terms indicated by the Authority, does not comply with the requests stated by the Authority or does not allow, on the dates indicated in the request, the inspections and investigations, incurs a administrative fine of a sum of 2,000 euros to 20,000 euros;
- the importer who, according to the methods and terms indicated in the plan approved by the Authority, does not adopt the corrective actions or the measures prescribed by the Authority is punished with a administrative fine of a sum from 5,000 euros to 20,000 euros.
For all matters not foreseen by the legislative decree n.13 /2021, the provisions of the law 24 November 1981, n. 689.
